Consultancy
Through training and consultancy I help businesses and organisations with their approaches to innovation and creativity. Methods covered include in-depth customer research, idea creation and concept evaluation as well as the impact on organisational structure and management. The approaches can help with the discovery of new product and service opportunities; the development of new product and service ideas; the evaluation and improvement of existing products and services; and an analysis of organisation structure and processes in relation to innovation and creativity. Companies and organisations I have worked with include reMODEL, Motorola, University of Glamorgan, Cardiff Business School, Grange Global, una-europa, ArtsConnect, UWIC, ibbd as well as many small and medium sized enterprises. One of my interests is to support (both formally and informally) individuals who want to translate new ideas into commercial success. This includes product design graduates from UWIC who have developed product ideas with commercial potential. As part of that role I am also a non-executive Director of two companies – WISE KIDS, a not-for-profit company that promotes innovative, positive and safe internet use; and Rikoset, a new company developing protective garments for the sports sector.
