Postgrad course at the University of Agder, Norway

I ran a course together with Professor Frank Reichert from March through to May at the University of Agder in Norway for research students and staff on how to write successful project applications. The course was run in three blocks. The first block of work in March covered idea generation, research methodologies and proposal writing. During April we introduced project planning and management, negotiation skills and budgeting. In the last sessions in May we covered areas such as confidentiality and intellectual property, dissemination, marketing and network building. It was a great experience to bring together a range of topics and try to help research students and staff develop high quality research proposals and funding bids.
